Important General Treatment SheerMagic Guidelines

Please read the following information carefully before proceeding.

  • Because of the way SheerMagic works, it is better to let some stains dry before attempting to remove them. However, greasy and oily spills should be treated as soon as possible. If the stain is particularly stubborn let the SheerMagic solution soak in before repeating the process.
  • When treating a fresh spill on fine delicate fabrics, blot the stain well by applying pressure with a white absorbent cloth or white paper towel prior to the use of SheerMagic. If time permits let the stain dry, then commence SheerMagic treatment.
  • If the stain is hard or crusty, scrape it to remove any excess before applying SheerMagic. If stain is fresh, blot it up with a paper towel using pressure.
  • Repeat the application on stubborn stains. In extreme cases allow up to two hours in between treatments to let SheerMagic penetrate the stain.
  • Do not rush the stain removal process, as many stains require time to respond to the product.
  • Only use a white towel or white paper towel to absorb excess fluid as dyes can transfer onto the garment.
  • When spraying onto the stain hold the spray nozzle approximately 12 centimeters from the stain.
  • Leave for 1 minute. Then agitate with spray nozzle from the centre of the stain in a circular motion, regularly blotting with white cloth or paper towel, as you proceed. Wipe nozzle clean after each use.
  • Avoid aggressive rubbing which can damage the fabric or distort the upholstery pile.
  • For carpet stains rapid evaporation is desirable to prevent wetting through the carpet backing. Use a fan to dry the area. Cover the area till dry to prevent stepping on it.
